The Division of Palliative Medicine provides care to patients with advanced cancer or terminal illnesses. These include heart failure, kidney failure, motor neurone disease and other chronic diseases. We provide care for individuals of all age groups and at any stage of illness.
Our team aims to optimise end of life care for patients and their families. This involves both medical and emotional support. Our specialists focus on symptom management, supportive care and planning for end-of-life care. Through discussions with patients and families, we guide them in making important decisions for themselves.
Each patient is cared for by one healthcare team as much as possible. The team comprises doctors, nurses, social workers, counsellors, physiotherapists, or pharmacists when needed.
Our caring medical team is committed to providing holistic support patients and their loved ones.
