Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy aims to help develop, maintain and restore mobility and function through detailed assessment and individualized treatment program with physical activities.

Our physiotherapists can aid you in the following areas:

  • Geriatric Rehabilitation
  • Vestibular Rehabilitation
  • Robotic Gait Training

Our physiotherapists operate from two specialised rehabilitation centres in the hospital, catering to both inpatient and outpatient cases.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapists aim to help people across different age groups regain functional independence in activities of daily living such as self-care, productivity and leisure.

Our Occupational Therapists can cover the following aspects of rehabilitation:

  • Cognitive Rehabilitation
  • Neurological and Stroke Rehabilitation
  • Geriatric Rehabilitation
  • Orthopaedic Rehabilitation
  • Oncology and Palliative Care
  • Home Assessments and Modification
  • Assistive Device Prescription and Training
Speech Therapy

Our Speech Therapists assess, diagnose and treat patients who have difficulties eating, drinking, swallowing; communicating, understanding and expressing themselves.

They assess and give guidance regarding the management of disorders of the following:

  • Swallowing
  • Language
  • Speech
  • Voice
  • Cognitive communication

Management of swallowing disorder may include the following:

  • Videofluoroscopic swallowing study (VFS)
  • Fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES)
  • Modifications to diet/ fluid consistencies
  • Rehabilitative swallow exercises/ programs
  • Caregiver training

Our Speech Therapists also provide individualised communication therapy and communication partner training, for individuals with communication disorders.

Podiatry

Our Podiatrists are highly trained healthcare professionals who diagnose, treat and prevent disorders of the foot and ankle. We provide foot health services at inpatient and outpatient clinics.

They can render assistance with the following:

  • Management of foot and ankle ulcers
  • Footwear assessment
  • Skin debridement (e.g. For corns, callus and warts)
  • Management of biomechanical cases (e.g. heel pain, Morton's neuroma)
  • Ingrown toenail and nail deformity management
