Nursing roles provide nurses with the propensity beyond "doing good" but to realize the extraordinary. With ceaseless demands for healthcare against a backdrop of evolving threats globally, my hope is for nurses to cherish how fleeting life is and develop as a resilient, unifying global community, true to our calling, withstanding time.
I aspire to see nurses develop the discipline and disposition to learn beyond Nursing. Apart from advancing in the breadth and depth of nursing practice, the dynamic landscape offers opportunities to develop new capabilities to enhance and optimize nursing roles for the future. Nurses are fittingly positioned to lead changes and forge partnerships through our roles in connecting people. In recognizing the potential of our roles, I envision nurses to challenge paradigms daringly, to champion care redesign and advance conversations for policy changes, to enhance sustainable care while never losing sight of our role in advocating for the marginalized. To realise this vision, nurses must grow to be reflective leaders with a clear purpose and conviction of the value Nursing brings to humanity. Above all, may each nurse develop a life of gratitude and fulfilment from the privilege we have through our profession.
