Inpatient Charges

Inpatient Fees

NOTE:

  1. Patients are not eligible for admission to subsidised wards and can only be admitted to A1 or B1 Class wards if they are:

    • Non-residents (note: A1 Class ward only)
    • Admitted for non-basic healthcare services
    • Transferred from private hospitals
    • Transferred from private wards from other restructured hospitals
    • Referred to a specific doctor for consultation or treatment
    • Being consulted or treated by their choice of doctor
  2. Patients can only be admitted to A1 Class wards if they are referred from private clinics of visiting consultants.

  3. Patients who are Residents and not warded for the reasons stated in Clause 1, are eligible for admission to private or subsidised wards.

  4. Charges quoted for private class wards are inclusive of 9% GST.

  5. Actual charges may differ for Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Resident Foreigners and Non-Residents. Please confirm with the counter staff prior to admission.

  6. Charges shown for B2 and C Class wards are based on the assumption that the patient receives maximum government subsidy (GST is absorbed by the hospital).

  7. Charges above are only bed charges and DO NOT include other hospital charges e.g. daily treatment fee (DTF), procedures, medication, laboratory tests, x-rays, etc.

  8. *Residents staying in the B1 Class ward will receive government subsidy – this includes ward charges, DTF, as well as charges for medication, laboratory tests, x-rays, procedures etc.

  • This Fee covers basic laboratory investigations, basic procedures, X-Ray services and standard drugs.

Outpatient and Dental Charges

NOTE:

  • Consultation fees exclude consumables, X-ray charges & precision attachments.
  • For private patients, charges are inclusive of 9% GST. Charges may differ for Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Resident Foreigners and Non-Residents.
  • Charges for subsidised patients are based on a range of government subsidy and may vary depending on the patient’s means test subsidy level. For subsidised patients, GST is absorbed by the hospital.

Bill Payment Options

You can make payment at the counters of all our outpatient clinics, and the Urgent Care Centre. We accept payment using cash, credit cards, NETS, and cheque (to be made payable to "Alexandra Hospital").

You can also make payment electronically, via the following methods:

AXS E-Station & Mobile Payment AppPayment can be made via NETS and credit cards through AXS e-station online or through AXS m-station on your mobile.
DBS Internet Banking, Mobile Banking & PayLah!

Payment can be made online through:

SAM Web & Mobile AppPayment can be made via credit cards at the SAM website or on the mobile app (download via Google Play or App Store).
PayNowPayment can be made by scanning the PayNow QR code on your bill using your mobile banking app.

Refund

All excess payment will be refunded after the outstanding hospital bill is settled. The refund will be ready approximately one month after the bill is finalised. Any refund will be made out in the form of a cheque.

Physical Bill

You may view and download your paid bill from the NUHS App at your convenience. If you would like to request for a physical bill for claims purposes, please fill in this form. The bills you have requested for will be mailed to the patient’s registered address via post within 7 working days. The form will be voided if it is incomplete or contain inaccurate information.

Financial Assistance

If you are facing financial difficulties in managing your bills, our Social Workers can assist you with your options.
